Taylored Expressions Selfie Challenge

Seriously this is the third selfie I've ever done.  One of the three was earlier this week for work.  Weird... Anywho loved the layout and thought why not enter the challenge! Thanks for looking!

DS167

Always need a little inspiration making a male inspired card.  This layout works well to incorporate a lot of color and texture!

PTI Blog Hop #3

Seriously, last one. I must really be on the gold wagon right now. It's nice to pull out the gold paint pen and embossing powder now that it's trendy again!  That's why I never get rid of my art supplies!  ;)

PTI blog hop #2

The feathers are just meant for gold, aren't they? Pearl Ex works beautifully with the fine detail of the stamps.

PTI Blog Hop

Had this in my stash of cards that I made a while ago.  Just a bit of gold is all that is needed!

Stampafaire 1980's

Finally got around to playing with this stamp set. Had some fun paper from Doodlebug Design Inc (take note) that looks totally awesome with this genre.  Word!

Stampafaire Fast Challenge

To get the fun day of stamping started we each chose a different color scheme and layout for the 20 minute challenge.  Might have taken a bit longer once we all got situated. Wish I had gotten a photo of everyone's cards throughout the day. They were all so different and beautiful!

Stampafaire Ancient Rome

Whoa did this era get our brains working early in the morning.  It was hilarious trying to get the mosaic stamp going in the right direction before my second cuppa coffee.  Very neat working with embossing paste. Will try more cards with it when time permits.

Stampafaire Renaissance Period

Very cool techniques learned for these cards. Had fun with the wax and velvet. Will definitely use the velvet technique again.

Stampafaire Regency Era

Stampafaire 1920's

Of all the decades this one seems like the most glamorous.  I love the simplicity yet elegance of this period in history.  Heather's projects captured it perfectly.

Stampafaire 1940's

So many things to do with this lovely stamp set by Betsy Veldmann.  I have a feeling I'll be making a ton of cute little felt flowers with stamens!

Stampafaire 1960's

Loved the designs and look forward to making many more projects with this stamp set.  Truly my favorite of the whole day!

Stampafaire closing

After 12 hours of stamping we called it quits. It was a fun day full of new techniques learned and great fellowship. We need to get together more than once a year and have marathon stamping days!

DS139

This layout was perfect to make some quick and easy birthday cards for kids.  I used designer paper from Doodlebug Design Inc. (Take Note), sentiment is from SU! (It's Your Birthday), and the stamp and die are from Archiver's (Hello Love).  Thanks for the cool layout Jen!

CAS(E) this Sketch #64

I've spent the morning making get well and thinking of you cards, so looked at the CAS(E) this Sketch (http://casethissketch.blogspot.com ) web site for inspiration.  This came together nice and quick.  I used Wellness Wishes by SU! and some Designer paper I had laying around in my scraps.

MOJO333

Needed to make a card for my friend whose grandma fell and broke her leg.  :(
This layout worked well to make a nice cheery card.  I used DSP from Stampin' Up! and the die cuts are from PTI.  Thanks for the inspiration!

MOJO332

With all the recent snow days I've gotten some time to play!  I used Designer Paper from Fancy Pants (Trend Setter) and the heart is cut out from American Crafts (Everyday).  The heart die is from Stampin' Up! and the flag is from PTI.  Thanks for looking!

My mugshot

Nichole wanted us to include a snapshot of ourselves holding our creation.  It's always nice to see everyone's photo.  It's like a community gathering of crafters!

HB PTI

The fun challenge today was to make a birthday card for PTI's 7th birthday and send it into the warehouse so the people that send us our lovely toys can see what the heck we do with them!  We were given free rein to come up with a theme, so I used two Make it Monday techniques and a color scheme that was part of the downloads on the first day of the anniversary posts.

7th anniversary day 4

So the challenge today was to make a 3x4 trading card that could be used as an accent on a scrapbook page or card front.   The zipper dies happen to be that size so I cut one out and just used a bunch of scraps that I had laying around (yes I need to clean my desk).  The top pic is the 3x4 and the bottom is the full card.  I'm trying to keep my cards more clean and simple lately and practicing the mantra, "more is not always better"!

PTI digital print outs

I was able to make these cards the other day but am just getting around to posting them today.   It was fun using the digital printouts to make clean and simple cards.  They are nice to have around when you need to send a card out in a hurry!!

7 Minutes with PTI

The challenge was to take seven minutes to gather seven supplies to make a card in 17 minutes. It took me five minutes and the stuff was already out from yesterday's challenge with the digital stuff.  Fun, fun.  Yay!

Paper Pumpkin from Stampin' Up!

These are the samples from the most recent Paper Pumpkin kit that I got in the mail.  It is a kit that you get once a month and you have no idea what is in the cute little box that comes in the mail. So far the trend has been cards one month and then a different type of paper crafting project the month.  Each month you get some stamps and extra embelishments that you will have to use on more things.  My girls and I get so excited when we see the box in the mail!
Below are the cards that I made using some of my leftovers.  Don't know if you can tell from the photos but the front of the cards have a cut out and then the inside of the card has a different color cardstock that pops through. So cute!  I used the Diagonals Die from PTI to try and recreate the look.

Valentine's Day Continued

I haven't posted in so long that I forgot how to edit.  This is the other card that we made. It used the Watercolor set from PTI and a Frame Out set.  The previous card that was red and black was an interpretation of a card from Justin Krieger, a Stampin' Up! demonstrator that I follow on Pinterest.

Valentine's Day

My stamping buddy Luanne and I got together this Sunday to play. It was just what I needed for a little creative relaxation! We made these cards while together.

More feathers

Used some embossing powder that I had from like 2002 for this card using Feather Finery. This proves there is a good reason not to get rid of old supplies!

Finally!

Finally have some time to post some creations. Got this beautiful set Feather Finery from PTI.  This is actually the feather that my 8 yo did with Pearl Ex. I was quite impressed!
